I had a very busy 2025, and I was dreaming of a city trip with friends and our bikes.
Back in February 2026, I came up with the idea of driving to Paris with a few friends. I invited four guys I had met through work. They were all great people, easy to get along with, and always up for a laugh. Everyone agreed to join the adventure.
After setting a date, we booked everything and started getting ready for the trip. The group was me, Ryan, Jin, Chris, and Ibrahim. We met at my workshop at 9 AM and packed all our gear before heading off. Unfortunately, Ibrahim had forgotten his passport and wouldn't be able to make it in time, so he had to miss the trip.
We drove to Folkestone to catch the train to Calais. The drive from Calais to Paris felt long and slow, but we were excited to finally arrive that evening. By the time we got there, it was already getting late. We unloaded our stuff, grabbed our bikes, and headed straight out for a ride around the city to explore.
During our stay, we visited a few bike shops and checked out some great cycling spots around Paris. One of the highlights of the trip was meeting local riders who showed us around the city centre. It was awesome to see Paris from a local rider's point of view.
We met lots of new people, enjoyed some great rides, and made some amazing memories. A big thank you to everyone who joined us and made the trip so special.
We had an amazing time in Paris and can't wait for the next adventure. Hopefully, it won't be too long before we're all back on our bikes and exploring somewhere new together.
